OpenVAS Developer Conference on July

Guys,

You must be knowing about OpenVAS Scanner. Its derived from the Nessus scanning engine and now is an Open Source tool which is getting enhanced on daily basis in their features, add-on tools and all. I just came through their event notification from their mailing list that they are going to held up a dev conference where they are covering all the topics from scratches.

Its for any enthusiast who is interested to learn more about network internals, signature development in OpenVAS tool, how the tool works etc. I hope this will be kinda interesting to join the conference and grasp some knowledge on network security related stuffs. You shouldn’t miss this! For more information about the dates, events and topic which they will be covering can be found here.

However for giving an idea on their topic, here you have an overlook

1. OpenVAS architecture
2. Installation of OpenVAS on Linux systems
3. OpenVAS scanning
OpenVAS features
Creation of policies and running the scan
Credentiated and Credential less scanning
The OpenVAS knowledge base
Logs
Scanning different network devices: Windows, Unix
Reports
4. OpenVAS Administration
5. Writing NASL plugins
6. OpenVAS integrated tools

Hoping for a positive feedback.

Regards,
XyluX
