How to install Lightview Plus
Buddies,
As you guys must be knowing that, sometimes its better to show your images with a shrink’ed box rather than showing them in direct image links i.e. http://abcxyz.com/image.jpg. So to get away from these kind of restrictions and giving it a decent look its better to use some PHP scripts which will add some effects and will show the image in the same page and the user don’t have to bother to go to another page, see the image and coming back to the textual areas. Here I will be sharing a nice and productive way on how to use Lightview script to add some effect to your images display system. We will be using Lightview plus script developed by Nick Stakenburg. Follow the below steps to integrate them to your website.
* Download the Lightview Plus Plugin from Wordpress Plugin Archive.
* Create a folder in your home directory.
* Create a folder “Lightview-main” in your home folder. Lets say:
/home/wikisecure/Desktop/<Lightview-main>
* Put the downloaded file “lightview-plus.x.x.zip” into that folder.
* Download the js library files (lightview.zip) from Nick Stakenburg’s website.
* Put them inside the the same folder (Lightview-main).
* Extract the contents from “lightview.zip” which you have downloaded from Nick’s website.
* Copy the 3 folders (a) css (b) images (c) js from “lightview” folder to “Lightview-plus” and remove the folders only which were in the lightview-plus.x.x folder by default as those files won’t work.
* Now the content of the lightview-plus Folder should be like this ::
css // editor_plugin.js // images // js // lightview-plus-popup.php // lightview-plus.js //
lightview-plus.php // protoculous.js // simplexml.class.php // style.css
* Now just login to your ftp server via gFtp or any third-party FTP client to your server. Navigate to your wp-content/plugins directory. Place the customized “lightview-plus” folder inside that.
* Login to your Admin Panel, go to Plugins and activate the plugin system. And you are done! Now whenever somone will open any images inside your post it will give an charming look and the user don’t have to leave that opened page as that image will be shown up in a light box and once you click in any outside area you will be defocused from that image and will see the post again.
Just buzz me up, if you have any issues!
Cheers!
